Well that's it!

We are off home we got the free upgrade to premium economy they didn't have two bussiness class together so we decided against that and took the premium economy instead. Today we did a tour of beverlly hills and hollywood was a bit long but filled in the afternoon :-)

This morning we went to mcdonalds for breakfast and we found the same thing that we found in the outskirts of japan for those that know the story we took a day to get to mount Fuji what should have taken 1.5 hrs on a bullet train anyway it's a bacon and egg mcmuffin but there is maple syrup injected in the muffin can't wait for it to come to nz.
then we went to wal mart brought a few things then spent the afternoon in Tijuana brought way more than I expected and we had a pretty good quasadilla each

We even paid $1 to get a Mexico stamp in our passports because you don't get one at the border :-)


We are off back to la tommorrow and got the tv show taping.

Day 1 San Diego

This morning we went on the aircraft carrier USS Midway it was interesting then we went to the zoo for the afternoon tommorrow we are going to tiujana on a afternoon tour . We have tickets for our last night in la for a tv show taping for a show that doesn't show in nz yet the Craig ferguson show, the dad off of Malcolm in the middle is the guest that's why we chose it :-)

So after the show last night which was ok not as good as the first guy but still funny Theres a message at the hotel of A lady saying she found my wallet nowhere near where we were so I called her up Sunday morning and we met at a gas station to get it I gave her $40 for being honest. Good karma I think I must have tracked down about 20 at BP even though all the cards are useless now I'm writing this on the way to San Diego

Grand canyon

It's a bit of a con really you drive 3 hours out to the entrance of the skywalk ( a glass platform over the canyon ) they charge you 40$. Each to get on the bus to take you to the skywalk where they charge you another $50 to go on it and they take your camera off you so you can't take photos but of course they will take one for you! We are going to another comedy show tonight so that should end the day on a high :-) on a positive note I saw my first chipmunk very cute

For fuck sake

2 trips in a row now I have lost my wallet on way to grand canyon at mcdonalds I left on the counter and sum1 must have taken so that set the day off, we went to local police station to do a report For insurance claim we had just drawn out $250 yesterday so the bastard got a bit of cash ! I was pissed but over it now as it's all covered by insurance and it's done now

We left semi early took an hour to drive to the dam we did the tour then drove over it just to say we did then we spent the arvo walking the strip checking out the casinos and we are seeing a comedy show tonight of a up and coming comedian Vonnie favorito he's like Americas mike king semi famous will let you know, just got back from the show we didn't stop laughing from start to finish very funny! :-)

Day 5 Los Angeles to Las Vegas

The morning started with a shuttle ride to the airport as that was cheaper than a taxi we just pretended we were going on a flight then we got the free shuttle to pick up the car. Then we took an hour just to get out of Los Angele's with many u turns. We have been extremely lucky with weather everyday has been perfect, fine 22/23C the last two hotels have been really good and believe it or not we have only had McDonald's once unfortunately I haven't had my taco bell yet :-(

The views and scenery along the way was pretty good photo's don't do it justice the whole highway is lined both sides as far as the eye can see they look just like cabbage trees really

It took us 6 hours to get here Google maps said 4! :-)

Today We changed hotels again to one in universal city We walked to Universal studios and spent the afternoon there before we did the Warner Bro's Studio Tour which was Really good photo's to follow, tomorrow we are spending the day at Universal Studio',

Lazy Day

Today we transferred from Anaheim/Disney Area to Beverly Hills Area Caught Hotel Shuttle to a shopping centre in Century City but too Fancy for us so Taxied it back To Hotel, All Gucci , D & C, Tiffany etc We had Subway though!

Day 3

Today we did Disney's California Adventure Park It didnt open till 10 so we got a sleep in went on the huge coaster (Dave chickened out in the line so I Went by myself)
We spent most of the day there we discovered a 7-11 around the corner had Twinkies for the first time they weren't very nice don't know what the movies are raving about

Day 2

First day at Disney we got there as the gates opened at 8 did all the rides incl kiddy ones filled in whole day with a little sleep back at the hotel round lunchtime we ended up having mcdonalds for lunch as it's right outside and a lot cheaper tommorrow we are doing the other Disney park :-) we even stayed for the firesworks my 4th Disney visit but first fireworks

Day 1

Ok day one the flight was ok after about 3 hours in it got a bit bumpy for about 2 or so hours but still managed to get quite a bit of sleep we arrived 2pm got to hotel about 5 after customs and waiting for ride then it went sour me and Dave were both tired and some f$&(wits decided that they wanted to have a party in the pool I complained about 3x in the end and requested a new room in the morning then at midnight there was an idiot talking on the phone right out side our room he even looked offended when I asked him to move on didn't end up getting to sleep till 1am I havnt seen that time in years:-)
